Jess showed her lovely hand-printed and handmade children's clothing.
Leanne, Cate, Kelly and Tig shared their Sketchbook Revival work.
Iona shared her sketchbook and we cooed over her Valentines Bilby.
Lynley shared some of her digital art and passed around her erasable coloured pencils for us to look at.
Genevieve showed us some of mouse illustrations, themed to the Character Design Weekly Challenge.
Members of the group strongly requested that we begin a Facebook Group so that they can easily find out when our next event is and be able to share illustrations, tips and resources. The group would mean that we would no longer have to scroll through other group or personal pages to find information. We agreed that it would be a closed group only open to people who live locally. I am currently drafting some guidelines for the group and the page should be available shortly.
Please remember that these meeting's are scheduled a bit randomly. We try to get together at least once a school term and mix the dates between weekdays and weekends to allow for atteendance depending on your life situation - work during the week, kids sports on the weekend or working at the markets.
Below is the current two page list of upcoming booky events in the Canberra region. This list also includes some online courses, plus a couple of illustration competitions people might be interested.
